Love Those Old Trucks

That Old Black Truck:
Our workhorse for the past ten years; 1968 Ford F-350, 390 V-8 with two barrel carb, four speed trans. The truck is no stranger to the Valley, having served Perry Engineering of Winchester for many years. I still run across PE employees and retirees who have stories to tell about old truck #65. There are negotiations in the works for a near-identical truck.

The 1955 Chevrolet 3800 First Series Standby Service Truck putters around the place hauling a little wood or manure now and then while it awaits another of its rare deployments.

Webmaster's Personal Addition: The aforementioned Standby Service Truck, affectionately referred to as Old Blue . . . before a certain tractor mechanic painted it green.

This 1939 International D-30 was given to us after sitting outside with the cylinder head off for about ten years. Of course the engine and clutch were stuck, but after many visits to the site and much patient tinkering, we drove it home. Although it runs, it is still very much a work in progress. I can use a little help with parts. I intend to use it as a service truck someday, but for now its duties are limited to storing firewood, drying onions and as a prop for photographs. That's Stephanie and Bonkers.
